Day one (or won interns of us getting through it) has been completed. A day which began with finishing up packing the moving truck (again), returning of rental equipment, packing both vehicles and saying goodbye to PDX ended one hour earlier than we planned just inside the Oregon border. That all those hours I spent playing tetris as a child would one day pay off like this…

i’ve been really bad about keeping fresh stuff up here, but things are crazy busy on all fronts.
as my way of apologizing i’m not even going to make you dig for these tunes, i’m just going to give them to you
ok so here’s the second and a half installment of music ramblings. i started it a looooooong time ago (about a month an a half ago) but things have gotten rather busy ’round these parts.

PortlandConcertPhotography.com was born of a love for music & photography, a canon 5d, a night of shooting blind pilot @ mississippi studios and a few hours over a three day span. simplicity is a rule for me and this site lets the user focus almost entirely on the work and nothing else.
the second published (but third drafted) installment of music ramblings which i’ll call “on the radar”. the bands mentioned here have come to my attention in one way or another (live, commercial recordings, indie recordings, recommendations, whatevs…) and i figure they’re worth writing about on some level: joe pug and horse feathers
dear industry, if you’re concerned about people taking your intellectual property and posting all over the internet you’re failing miserably. essentially what you’re doing is degrading the quality of free publicity for you and your talent. why wouldn’t you want as much free quality material out there about your product? this is the new world and it’s time to wake up and embrace it. the public, now more than ever, will make or break your image.
i wandered into a local starbucks to treat myself to a more expensive coffee this AM and was slightly appalled at what i saw on the counter…
