:: individual songs i would pay $30 to hear played live (right now) ::
it’s been too long. i know this.
i have a lil’ list of things to write but am lacking the motivation in this post-holiday haze / return to reality, so in the mean time here’s the first installment of music ramblings:
the idea behind this list is pretty evident. there are some songs that really just need to be heard live. period.
when you do hear them in person, they can have one of many affects on you, including (but not limited to):
- the same feeling as a heart punch
- induce head banging and devil finger waving
- make you scream “fuck the man!”
- force you into reminiscence
- encourage you to consume alcohol in mass quantities and light fires
- spontaneous foot-tapping and head tilting while making sounds with your mouth that are normally attributed to musical instruments or wild animals
in any case, here are this moments “individual songs i would pay $30 to hear played live (right now)”

you are such a hippie…you request the punkest song you would pay $30 for to be acoustic…Does the $30 include some patchouli oil or maybe some incense?
no, but it includes a swift kick in the ass for haters!
Wont Get Fooled Again – The Who
Wonderwall (Acoustic) – Oasis
Oh My Sweet Carolina – Ryan Adams
Bron-Y-Aur Stomp – Led Zeppelin
Don’t Think Twice, It’s Alright – Bob Dylan
by the way, this is nothing at all close to an all-time list matt. it’s a list of the moment…
just the same, thanks for your concern for my punkness.
